The Earth is our home, and at BioD Energy, we are doing our bit to keep it clean and green. We’re developing innovative Bio Fuel technology to help reduce waste with a commitment to zero environmental harm. Biodiesel is a renewable energy source, unlike other petroleum products (that will vanish in the years to come). Since it is made from animal and vegetable fat, it can be produced on demand and also causes less pollution than traditional petroleum diesel.
BioD Energy was incorporated in 2016 and started commercial production in 2019. The Company primarily produces pure Bio-Diesel (B100) of European Standard (EN: 14214) or its Indian Equivalent (IS: 15607) from multiple feedstock like waste/used vegetable oils, animal fats, acid oils, residue, etc, in India.
Our approach to producing biofuel helps to address some of the oldest challenges posed by the inadequate disposal of used cooking oil, animal fats, sewage sludge, grease tap residues, etc. BioD Energy has perfected the process of using renewable biomass-based raw materials such as Tallow, Acid Oils, etc., to create Biodiesel.
In addition, Fossil fuels are limited and may not be able to fulfill our demand for coal, oil, and natural gas after a certain period. With the soaring price of petroleum-based products, Biodiesel is becoming an increasingly affordable option relative to petroleum diesel.

Our Story
Spread across 13,575 SQM in IMT-Bawal, Haryana, BIOD Energy (India) operates a state-of-the-art biodiesel manufacturing facility with excellent rail and road connectivity, including proximity to ICD Bawal for seamless distribution.
Since commencing production in February 2019, BIOD has rapidly grown into a major biodiesel producer in India, with an initial capacity of 100 TPD. Our biodiesel meets EN 14214 and IS 15607 standards, providing eco-friendly, high-quality fuel to the market.
Success Highlights (2019–2025):

Sold 55 million litres of biodiesel, and reduced GHG emissions by 144.6 million kgs.

Became the first company to supply UCO-based biodiesel to OMCs in North India, introducing B7 blended fuel to users.

Through the WASTEX project, we prevented 8 million liters of used cooking oil from entering the Adulteration market.

Objective
We aim to be financially viable Biodiesel refinery conglomeration with several sustainable operational locations. Our current capacity of some 60,000 Mt per annum in two locations are scalable, and our business model shall provide us ROI to expand to meet the global growing demand, in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner.
